Fall Décor Ideas for Your Market Booth

Jan 06, 2025

You know that feeling you get when you first walk into a store during a seasonal change, and they've flipped all of their items to pumpkin spice, cozy sweaters, fall-scented candles and hand soap?

If you're like me, the vibe of the seasons changing brings so much joy. So, how can you do this on a small affordable scale for your market booth?

Raid Your Home

You can borrow fall décor from your own personal stash for free! Pro-tip: Make sure the décor you borrow or use aligns with what your ideal customer would be drawn to.

Think faux pumpkins, fall garlands, leaf decors, rustic animal decorations, faux fall florals, etc.

Shop the Clearance Section

An affordable way to stock up on fall décor for your booth is to buy it at the season's end when they're making room for Christmas and winter decor. I'd look for faux pumpkins, wreaths, garlands, table runners, faux florals, and such that you can buy for a few dollars. You can also check local thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace, or wedding buy-and-sell groups for deals.

DIY It

If you have time during your slow market season this is when I would recommend working on your booth DIY projects. Search Pinterest (you can follow me on Pinterest here for inspiration and check out my fall decor board here) and follow DIY influencers on social media for ideas.

You can do a lot of DIY fall décor projects for pretty cheap. I just don't want you to be focusing on them the week before your market because I know how we function. 😊

 The Good Stuff

While this is the most expensive décor option, you can also use these items to decorate your home when not at a market.

Real Pumpkins

Grow your own, or buy from a local farmstand or nursery. There are so many cool varieties of pumpkins and squash that can really jazz up your fall décor.

Mums

My favorite extra-large mums are from Costco, and they're super reasonable, too. They come in a plain pot, but I like to place mine in wood crates or planter urns for a more polished look. Then I stack my pumpkins around them, just like I would on my front porch.

How to Put it All Together

I like to sprinkle pumpkins (faux or real) throughout my booth and displays, along with faux fall florals. You can lay your florals flat on tables/shelves throughout your booth and/or place them in vases or other decorative pieces.

You can place fall garlands on your tables, tent, or backdrop wall. Fall wreaths can be laid flat and have products placed inside of them.

Mums can be placed anywhere, but my preference is to have them at the front of your booth to make it look like an entry, just like brick-and-mortar stores.

Fall-inspired table runners can go on your tables under your setup. Ensure the design/colors complement your branding and don't clash with what you have.
